I worked alongside Rock Creek Social Club, a millennial marketing & event production agency, to develop campaign visuals and copy for Saturdaze -- a digital event hosted by Eaton Hotel DC to raise funds for a national charity.

After receiving the initial brief with event info, I pulled together some loose themes that could be applied to the creative. My solution would also have to be respective of the brand cultures of the design-forward host venue Eaton Hotel, and event sponsor Jameson Irish Whiskey.

A look into RCSC's campaign archives showed a lean toward image based flyer design. To introduce Saturdaze, I opted for digital illustration backed by a bright palette to cut through the noise and generate a new energy for the agency's first digital festival.

Making a play on DC's nickname, I designed a character to anchor the event's artwork.
After initial sketch, reshaping body proportion and minimizing facial expression brought polish to the idea.
We collaborated with Aaron, influencer and owner of a popular subway photography themed instagram account, to shoot the main visuals for the project.
After combing through 2,000+ selects, we found the statement shot for the store.
The large-scale graphic now greets each customer as they close the checkout process.
